Four Ball

The Country Club of New Bedford (CCNB) Men's Fourball has a long history, but the Women's Fourball is a more recent and separate tradition, starting in 1979. The Women's event was created by four women members and has had a few interruptions over the years, but it has continued with a tournament that includes a "Tourney of 8" bracket and has had many past champions. The Men's event has occurred for many decades, and the 93rd annual championship was held in 2023. 

Men's Fourball History

  • Recent events: The 95th annual Men's Fourball was held in 2025,
  • Previous champions: Notable past champions include Mike Koska and Tim Rezendes, who won in 2020 after 23 years of competing together.
  • 2025 tournament: The 95th Men's Fourball will be held in 2025 and will feature 64 teams on the newly renovated course. 


Women's Fourball History

  • 1979: The event was first established by four women members of the club, and the first tournament took place.
  • Past events: The event has been interrupted in the past, including during Hurricane Bob and a year lost to a pandemic.
  • Recent winners: In 2025, the 47th Annual Women's Four-Ball Invitational was held, with the Tourney of 8 winners and other pairings listed on the club's website.
